The First Christmas

Each year I have my sons memorize a Christmas poem to recite in front of the tree for mom, grandma and the family on Christmas eve and Christmas day. It was something that my mom had me and my siblings do when I was a kid so I thought I'd pass on the tradition.
Last year I couldn't find one that was "just right" so I wrote the one below. It wasn't until the new year that my wife found out I wrote it.
I hope you all enjoy it. Merry Christmas.

The First Christmas

Shepherds watched their flocks that night
When angels came shining bright
Singing of a Glorious birth

I hope you have that in hard copy. You have a great talent. Thank you for that poem. God Bless!

JESUS is the reason for the season!

I always read the scriptures from Luke 2 before any gifts are open. :)
