The Fire Hydrant............

This picture was taken in an industrial park in Schertz, Texas. I used my Sony A300 DSLR camera and a Minolta 28-85mm lens, F5.8, 1/200, ISO 100, Manual Mode, Histogram, harsh lighting conditions, sky was overcast. Kelley (Texas) :)

Interesting photo to take Kelley. It appears to be an older one. Did you happen to read when and where the hydrant was built? They generally have this info molded into them. Looks to be in need of a paint job. Where I used to live every 5-7 yrs the fire department would come by and put a quick coat of paint on the one in my yard. HH and GL.

I was not aware that the date was molded into them. I will start checking next time I take a fire hydrant picture. Thanks for the information. Kelley (Texas) :)

All those dogs should be proud of their contribution to agriculture!!
