I can't wait ! This weekend is going to be so much fun!!!!!!! I went to a spot today that I have wanted to do for about as long as i can remember . Just by chance I saw that this home was haveing a yard sale a few weeks ago so I stopped by and picked up a few things......then went on to see if I could go over the area with my beeper.I was granted permission but it was not till today that I was able to get out to that area and hit it. I have been sick and unable to do any beeping. SO I go up to the door and start talking to the fellow that owns the home. He go's on to tell me that the small building that I have been pineing over for the last many years was built in the thirtys as a gas station but the gas station just never happend for whatever reason. the home next to it was built in the 40's but I am shure a home set on this plot before the 40's or even 30's . I was on this spot for I would say about a hour and a half. I found 22 clad coins and a pile-o-junk. I will most likely go back at some point but I was so let down that This spot was not letting up any goodies!!!:thumbdown:BUT I hope this weekend will give up some goods! Some silver goods????????????????????????????????????????????Some gold goods????????????????????????????????

hope everyone makes it out to the hunt !

So often the places we feel should be loaded with silver, aren't, and then we find silver where we least expect it. You just never know. There should be fair amounts of silver this weekend, but will there be gold in them there hills, I don't know.

Sorry you weren't feeling good. As for the private property, we've "been there, done that". Just like Dave said, "places we feel should be loaded with silver, aren't". We would see these big huge old homes, corner lot, a yard that is screaming to us and ask for permission, permission granted and come up empty. :rage: One house really comes to mind. We didn't get squat and NO old coins.

Just goes to show.......not every place produces.

wow what a epic home nancy. I can not believe that place didn't give anything up. When I don't find squat at a place like that I cant help but think of a old man back in the 70's useing a old fisher or something and getting there first. It makes me feel better about doing reserch and comeing home with nothing good. but I am feeling great and I am deff back in the game today!!!!!
