The F5 scores more rings on Friday afternoon:clapping:

Took the F5 back to the same athletic field looking for more. Was hoping for more gold but on this trip the keepers were silver.

The ring with the stars is marked 'sterling'. It was partially masked by a bobbie pin. The numbers bounced around from 76 to 87 with the occassional iron fart and 08 number. Made no sense to me??? It didn't follow the normal iron false response but yet it wasn't a clean response of a good target. So I pinpointed and recovered a bobbie pin???? Hmmmm...bobbie pins are normally a 08 number and rarely false. So I scanned the hole again and got a steady 80. Hmmmm, Whats that?, dimes are 74s and quarters are 84s, so whats a 80? A silver ring of course! hehe

The ring with the opaque stone is marked 925. It was partially crushed and I restored the roundness. It jumped around a 67. I at first thought it was another corroded zinc bouncing around as they sometimes do as I found it in the midst of a bunch of zincs. But nope, a nice little ring. Don't know what the stone is.

It was a fun day. Found some other stuff but these were the real keepers.

Settings were 50, +5, 78 & High, d4, disc at 7.

Those are nice rings. That one with the stone could be an Opal ring. Looks mighty Art Deco to me. Might be an oldie. Nice.! Way to go.
