I have the same problem here in northern cal only get around 6 inches on coin sized objects finding a silver coin is rare i might get 1 a month if im lucky so i focus my efforts on finding jewelry, i do agree all metal will find deeper stuff but can be a bit overwelming in trashy areas hh
