The Explorer rules the ground

New member
last week three friends and I went to a old school detecting
one with a Sovereign and the other two with the Whites dfx
and me with my explorer
total coins found with the Sovereign and dfx, one memorial penny
total for the Explorer three Wheaties, one Nickle, one Indian head,
two silver dimes and 3 memorial pennies
I guess I was just lucky !!!

I purchased an Minelab SE not to long ago and had a Whites XLT before that. I really enjoyed my XLT and found a few silver coins here and there. I have been out with my SE around five times now, and found silver coins four of those five hunts. I really didn't know the machine the first time out and really just starting to learn more each time. I think the machine has made a big difference in my finds. I can tell silver now from just the regular coin. The tone on the silver is high and the smart find puts it to the top right of the screen. I'm really falling in love with the machine. I like the post keep up the good work.

I chose a school built in the 50's that I attended in the 60's so I knew where we played as compared to the playground now. I picked a spot about 50 by 50 feet. Searched it with my DFX at the time, my X-Terra 70 and my Explorer II. I don't remember the coin/cool item count but, the winners were Explorer, X Terra and DFX in that order. The X Terra was the best at finding nickels. I hunted in all metal mode with all three since there was minimal iron in the ground. I am not bashing and brand, they are all great detectors, this is just info. on my results.

well i am curious is the explorer 2 the same as the se or sx model or is the se or sx more user friendly is that all or is their more difference a lot more or did mindlab explorer 2 still a good machine or is the technology of e 2 old and not as advanced by.

I agree with Arturo...ENJOY your good finds. But I wouldn't count on the SAME results every time....Explorers are top-notch but so are the others you mention...tt
