Got out for a couple of hours after work this evening and hunted down at the local park/fairgrounds. I found 3 wheaties, 29d, 41, and a 59d and some clad. I was head for the car swinging along where the rail for the horse track used to be, and go a choppy 12/45 single that sounded from all directions but was sort of broken up, showed to be around 6" on the depth gauge. I was hoping silver dime, dug a plug around 6" deep, checked the hole and the pin pointer said it was still deeper, thought dang...not a dime, it's to deep. To my surprise the barber quarter popped out in the next digger full of dirt! Not the prettiest quarter by any means, but I'll take it. I've had my etrac since a year ago last February and hadn't dug a silver quarter with it, although I'm mostly re hunting pounded sites so most of the quarters have been found I supposed, well I got one now. I'm thinking the wheaties I'm finding are still there because they come in like screw caps on other detectors, most of mine are 12/40,41,42...right where the old metal screw caps land. Thanks for looking. Ken-ks
