Beautiful ring! That will get the heart pumping even in "ice cold blue water". How far north is the north country? Just curious as my wife and I grew up in Mn. and in fact, I'm going up there in a couple weeks for some walleye fishing and detecting. HH jim tn

Hi Jim,

I'm located in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Mi. There a a couple of lakes nearby with good Walleye fishing. Yummm!

Hi Tom, Yummm is right. That is pretty nice country where you are. Don't, though, miss those northern winters. HH jim tn

I was hunting a different lake. This one came about 2 hours into hitting the second beach of the day. I found a spot with some old coins showing up (40 Merc, 36 Buff and wheats)and gridded the area.

Also found a 1983 British one pound coin nearby. That was kinda neat to find.

buying an Edge for dry land use and for beach hunting.

Thanks for any help.:fisher:

Hi,

One of the main reasons I like the Edge is its versatility for many types of hunting. Sure there are detectors out there (some costing much more) that will beat it in one category or another but, for the price its one of the best all arounders available. Iron performance with the stock & small coil is top notch and the depth will match or beat the competition in most conditions. For a "coin" detector sensitivity to small non-ferrous targets is exceptional This makes it great for jewelry hunting.

Have a good one.
