The Eagle Has Landed!

OK, it's not the eagle...it's my new DiamondNite diamond tester. And it's a sweet piece of gear!

It operates on a single 9-volt battery, included. Fire it up and the light says "Wait" and in a couple of seconds, "Ready". Touch it to the stone and it tests it in about a second and either nothing will happen for glass/CZ/non-diamond OR the green "Diamond" light will light and a tone will sound. In another half second it does a second test and if it's the diamond imposter Moissanite, the tone will drop down an octave and the red "Moissanite" light will light. It's quick, down, and dirty. Of course I had to test all the diamond rings in the house, which was fun.

Oh yes...Once I start finding Diamonds, I will get one... Till then I will live vicariously thru this forum.
 
I just put the ring in my wifes hand and the more her face lights up the more chance its a diamond , never fails !
 
in about a month I will be in the V.A Beach surf lane hunting with my brother from the N.East who moved south,SYFTA maybe we will see eachother then find some more ICE to test!! HH
 
I'll look forward to meeting you. Not sure how good the detecting will be then but we can certainly give it a shot. I know you're a big Fall and Winter beach hunting guy. I'm usually deep in the woods and fields that time of year, waiting for Spring to return to the lane. I usually only go down there in the Winter after a good storm or when there are plenty of cuts. My favorite months here are early June thru about mid September, at night. Good stuff.

Can't go wrong on this tester though. And the fastest shipping I've ever seen.
 
Yeah, my wife's eyes always light up too, but like me, she's not a jeweler either and the 2nd thing she always says is "Do you think the stones are real???" Now I can say with certainty that they are.

And what better way to re-invest some of that refinery money?
 
I DO HUNT SOME FIELDS AND SUCH IN FALL WHEN THE TICKS ARE GONE,TOO MUCH LIME SICKNESS CAUSE OF OVER POP OF DEER EVERY WHERE! ANY TIME HUNTING IS GOOD TIME WEATHER FINDS ARE PLENTY OR SLIM!! BEATS WORK!!
 
After seeing your tester Im glad I didnt buy one of the cheaper ones off e bay , you get what you pay for ! I have one like yours on the top of my christmas list .
 
Well I haven't found as many in the past as I did this summer. I found about a dozen this summer and one particular weekend in June I found 4 in two nights. It was then that I decided I needed one. Since almost everything I found this summer was either claimed and worn by my wife, daughter, or me (OR sold to folks at work) the need to know if the stuff was real or not was there. Now I have one. :shrug:
