The E-Trac sure likes on edge IH pennies

I went into the local park today and spent a half hour grid hunting a small area. Only dug one target another IH on edge. The last 4 coins from the park have all been IH's, 2 fatties and 2 later ones. All of them were on edge. This would be a pretty nice coin if I could get the crud off.

Nice find its really good condition.... I like to see that green come out

Careful electrolysis maybe?
Or I might be tempted to put it in the freezer and then give that crud some careful taps with a hammer... but that's me.
I got an 1884 today, oldest one of the year so far and the signal was terrible and did not lock on at all. In looking back, I'm not even sure why I dug it. It didn't even sound that good.
Congrats on the old indians though! Well done.

It seems that I am finding a lot of coins on edge around these parts. Do you think it is the E-Trac enhancing the signal?

I don't know if it is enhancing the signal or not but I'll dig all the old coins the E-Trac will find.:)
