The E-trac is not good on silver :yikes:

IT'S GREAT. I was sitting here reading the post on what a great machine the E-Trac is and I thought I would add to it.
I got my E-Trac in October and my silver count has went through the roof. I thought I would post a couple pics to show you what I mean. 1-1833 Capped Half dime, 57-Silver Roseys, 54-Mercs., 7-Barber Dimes, 4-Washington Quarter, 1-SLQ, 1- Canadian Silver Quarter, 1- 1875 CC Seated Quarter ( Key Date ),1-Walking liberty Half. The funny thing is most of these came from an old fairgrounds that I had given up finding anymore silver in, as a matter of fact I had about 10 hunts with other machines there that I had come home with nothing but clad. When I put the E-Trac to the dirt it was like a virgin site.

No F-75 but several other minelabs among others.

How do you set your Etrac up, one of the minelab modes or something you made up yourself?

I use a slight variation of Tony Hunt's program.

Its good eh John. It works a treat in the UK. No reason why not in the states. Your detecting over the pond generally relies too much on patterns and the like, discrimming too much out for our liking. You guys need a couple of hours detecting under uk and european conditions to realise just what you could be missing by knocking out all the trash. We have lots of treasure items that can ring in the same spot as common items of trash. Two bars of discrim on the bottom of a quick mask screen is plenty.
