The Dreaded Coil Not Connected Warning

Bell-Two

Well it has happened to me, I contacted Minelab services in Illinois and they got back to me in an hour, sending a RMA form to send in the old coil and they are going to replace it they said that they are expecting a shipment of coils soon but they presently do not have any on hand. I do have the 17" so I will be able to hunt. I appreciate the quick response. I have always had good experience with the service department.

The question is I seem to recall in the other coil failures I have read about they seem to be just the stock coil and not the small one nor the large one. Has anybody had a problem with any of these other coils?

That's a pain. I've only heard of probs with the stock coil as you mentioned. I've also done well with their service. They sent me a coil for my Etrac when it was way out of warranty.

I am presently in the no coil detected game have to send my coil in for replacement this is the stock coil as well. now relearning my se pro already miss my ctx as I only have the one coil for it

My new coil from Minelab came in today! They received my defective one on Sept. 2 and they told me there would be a slight delay because they were waiting on a new shipment. Eleven days later it is here. Now that is excellent service in anybody's book. Thank you Minelab!!

did you have to pay to ship your bad coil back I did

My large coil is down:shrug: I went out to hunt in a light mist the other day and it was falsing low tones like crazy I dried it out and it was just fine. im not sure if it has warranty or not, a phone call will tell.
