The Deleon does it again, on a number of levels

Today was an epic detecting day with my Deleon. First, I dug 121 coins in 3.5 hours. That's a personal best, if amount of coins means anything. I had dug close to 100 before, but this is my most productive outting. Too bad there were so many pennies, but that's how it goes.

Secondly, I snagged silver #17 for the year. A 1967 Canadian centennial dime.

Third, I found my first large cent in over 20 years. This is a British penny, not Canadian, but I'm okay with that!

Settings on the Deleon, for anyone interested, is threshold at 1 o'clock, disc half way between iron and foil, and dig anything that flashes a 95 even once.

I don't need no stinkin' Cazador.

You're on a roll with the Deleon. That's a great day in anybody's book.

Congratulations on your CENTURY DAY! :clapping: Thats quick work with some cool finds along the way! Good shot of that stack and the pair of beauties! If I may, whats the back story? Did you find a certain place just loaded up? Coins like those are not coming out of a totlot...you found some sort of off to the side place, did'nt ya!:beers:

Shows why one of my favorites is the Deleon. I originally made a trade for a clean used one when I thought I really wanted a Cortez, thinking it was possibly a poor little sister to the Cortez, but all I could afford at the time. Since then, I've done really well with it and the preset ground works just fine in my area.

That's a lot of digging what type of area was it in. I can't wait for mine to arrive today or tomorrow it's at the UPS Dist office a few towns away but didn't say out for delivery ahhhhhh. But I found my first gold of the season, lol found a hoop earring in a parking lot with out a detector this morning better not leave it in my pants pocket wife won't believe me. Lol

Yeah, no tot lot finds here! The large penny came from a spot I discovers in a local park. Most of the park has been cleaned out, but there is one area where nothing I find is newer than 1960. It's been backfilled and the old coins came from somewhere else. The majority of the rest came from a boulevard in front of my old high school. Kids sit against the trees and eat their lunches. At least they did 30+ years ago. So far that boulevard has given up close to 300 coins. First silver however. I still have another 100 feet to go, so I expect another 200 coins before I call it cleaned out.

that deleon is working good , thats a nice silver dime .

In anybody's book that is one impressive haul you made! I am so impressed by what I've been reading from you guys on the Deleon, that will be my next detector. Looks like I gonna have to wait until next season on that one, but it is worth the wait.

And Canadian coins too boot

Yep Dan. .... I want a Deleon

Just to add a little more fuel to the fire...

Dug another 74 coins today, and another silver. That's #18 for the year. Total for the week so far is 293 coins. I should be able to hit 400 before my vacation is over.

I'll show the trash today as well. I think the reason I can dig so many coins in such a short span of time (3 hours today) is because I'm not digging a lot of junk. Most of the trash I dug today was intentional, just to try to eliminate any masking. In other words, I knew they were trash targets before I dug.

Sorry about the picture quality. They seem a little blurry. Maybe it's my shakey hands after all that digging!!

Dan you're on a roll! That's a bunch coins in short order.

Dug another 122 coins today. Unfortunately, silver eluded me on this outing. Going to a new location tomorrow. Hopefully that will be just as productive as the last couple.

Dan

You are killin' it dude! Another great Century day! Good eye on that location! Thanks for the details!:please:

I finished that location this morning. It took digging 350 coins to produce 2 silver coins. Not sure if that's a good ratio or not, but it is what it is. Wife has me tied up tomorrow so I might have to ignore the Deleon for a day. Wish it could be the other way around!
