The death of another local beach........

I went to our only local beach this morning. I went in through a gate thats open by the volley ball pit. I came back up after hunting for about two hours. 95 cents, one junk ring, and a junk ear ring.
I went over to rinse off at the two shower spigots. neither was working, ????
I thought, I'll just go home. I walked around to the side, and finally realized the pop machine was gone!! What the???.......
So, I thought "this don't look good"
I walked out throught the passageway, and there were signs on the doors of the two restrooms saying "restroom closed because of pipe vandalism"
I then went to the snack bar office door to see if there was a sign on there, holy cow!! The screen had been cut open, and the door was ajar going into the snack bar.
I looked through the opening, everything was messy, drawers open, etc.
There's a sign thats been on the door for the last several years saying "Attention thieves, all money is removed every night'
So, sadly I left for what may well be the last time.
We have two new water parks in the area, and all we seem to get at the beach anymore are the punk kids, and riff raff.
if I were the Ranger, I'd padlock the gates and put up another sign saying "Beach permanently closed due to vandalism and littering. GO SWIM SOMEWHERE ELSE!!"
I know it was probably the fourth of July "party people" that did all this, but when does it end? Every time I go there, it looks worse. We have hundreds of canadian geese raising young, and messing the place up, more every year.
What to do? The community doesn't deserve a beach if this is how they treat the only one we have. Close it, be done with the headaches.

Guess I'll look into gold panning, for this part of the country
anyway.
Okay, I'm done moaning about it. For now, at least we still have the big lakes, few as they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if the local Rangers did close it.

Of the 15 or so public swimming beaches in my county, there are only two that I know of with a snack bar. They have the roll-down tornado/hurricane shutters over the main window. Of course, thieves/vandals could still break in. Some of the beaches have full bathrooms, some only have porta-potties.

It's bad enough there's a competitor of mine that's digging big holes in the bottom of the swimming areas and not filling them in. If thieves/vandals started doing that here, odds are all the beaches would be closed.
