After a stack of overtime over the last month, reading zillions of posts, milking everyone for information, bloody you-tube videos.........the day has finally come!

After I knock off today I'm buying my e-trac!

The missus has no chance of me doing any jobs around the house this weekend.

Thanks for all those that have given me solid advice over the last couple months.

Wonder if the boss will notice me missing if I leave at lunch...................

Greg have you ordered it? Mine had to be ordered in he had sold out. Have you got Andys book organised? god luck Neilo

I didn't order, I'll give him a ring at 9 and hope I get lucky......otherwise the wait continues

I expect you will have a lot of fun when you get it. I got my E-Trac on Wednesday, but its been so bloody hot here (42C or about 110F for our American friends) I haven't had a chance to use it much. But I did go out into the backyard last evening and immediately found a couple of 1 cents. So I was impressed as I have a Quattro and I have never been able to find anything in the backyard as there is too much junk for it. Only thing I don't like about the E-Trac so far is the LCD screen is on the wrong angle and difficult to see, the Quattro screen is way superior in this regard.

No delay in getting my E-Trac, ordered it through Treasure Enterprises last Friday, they sent it through the post and it was here on the Wednesday, that's with the Australian day long weekend in between. Nothing but praise for this company, their price was good and they throw in a couple of extras, including "THE BOOK" for free.

There are two in stock so all good!

I'm in Adelaide and we've been in the mid 40's all this week and next week is looking the same. A few shady parks I might have a go at, but I think I might stay close to the cold beer and just play in the back yard.......i don't want to burst into flames in that heat! :hot:

Treasure Ent probably have the best deals in Australia on Minelab. But I've decided to stay local for close to home support if required.

Cheers

Congrats to you both. Right now I don't have the heat here due to it's winter here. But come summer we'll have the heat like you are and you will have the winter.

I got my ET a week ago, been reading Andy's book and have had it out once so far. Found one coin that was old, and can not even read the date on it.

Will hopefully find more as my experience increases.

Take care you 2 and enjoy your new E-Tracs.

Gave her a run last night in the yard.

Found 3 coins and a matchbox car, also a 1942 half penny came up to my sup rise. I've totally hammered my yard with my previous detector and considered all targets retrieved, so full credit to the e-trac.

Went to a local park I've hammered and found another 3 coins and a die cast plane, these were very close together and the e-trac was able to separate them.

Very Happy with the first hour with my e-trac!

Fortunehunter: I see what you mean with the screen angle. I'm already finding that I'm only really looking at the screen when pinpointing, I'm mainly relying on the audio which is more responsive.

Cheers all,
Greg

Another 10 coins this arvo in 40'ish minutes, again retracing an area covered by me with my old detector.....amazing

Hey Greg,
You might have to head to Glenelg beach with the heat waive you are having. We normal share the same weather pattern as you guys but aren't getting anywhere near as fried as you are. We're only hitting high 30's. So if you find the heat too much to sleep in, then what a perfect time to get out with the new toy. Hopefully the natives aren't too restless.
Good luck with the E-Trac. I'm interested how the Aussies go separating the screw caps from the goldies with it.
Mick Evans.
