Got off the boat on the 15th. Picked up a 1984 camaro I purchased for 300.00 bucks and towed it back to the house, then drove mom back to New Mexico on the 16 and 17th. Stayed with My mother and step father for a few days and visited. For kicks and giggles I bought a Harbor freight detector for 50 bucks and hunted in their front yard. Found 2 pennies, 1 dime, an old horse shoe, and a bunch of junk. Went back over the area the next day with the 505 and found 2 nickels, 1 dime, and 3 more pennies. Visited my sister while I was there and found 6 pennies and a couple of dimes along with other assorted stuff in her yard with the 505. These hunts were between snow storms and it was quite a challenge, but I was going nuts not being able to detect so I did what any addicted individual does. I found a way and made It happen. Drove home the 21st and 22nd. Rested the 23rd, which brings me to today.

Went detecting at the local High school after obtaining permission from the principal just to cover my butt. Started at about 10am and finished around 4pm or so. First time I have been on the grounds with my detector. Had a blast and will definitely go back, hopefully next weekend. Everything was found with my 505 with the 4" coil. Nothing deeper than 4inches give or take half an inch. May use the 8" coil next time just to compare. One pic is the good stuff and the other is the trash that was either dug up or on the ground and I picked it up. Was hoping to find some jewelry but maybe next time. Anyway, thanks for looking and Happy hunting to all that can get out.
