Good news is I learned that the clod arrived yesterday from Bryce. Bad news is I'm out of town for a few days::clapping: :lmfao:
I'll open it up when I get home and take pictures. I just know it could be another bust dime 'cause Bryce seems to sniff those bad boys out !!

"It is a nice sized clod and I think...and I repeat...THINK it has a silver coin in it. There is always the possibility that I got punked by a sweet sounding wheatie...but I truly feel it's silver.":clapping:

This way...if it turns out to be a stinkin' wheatie...I only look like half a goof instead of a complete goof:cool: :help:

Bryce I still hope for your sake it isnt a wheat cent bud.

And Bryce, despite how good-natured and sharing you are, I hope for your sake it isn't that XF 1916-D Merc!

or any other copper for that matter. There was a thread a while back. I made the observation that with copper you get preserved grass surrounding the coin, which generally makes the clod split apart. Not so with silver.
