It is gold and made in the USA.......so that at least makes it old.
 
Can you let us in on the secret of how you cleaned the watch ??? Electrolysis ???

Nice cleanup on case, looks to be an old Illinois 12 pocket watch. The marking will be on the inside back case. Most likely 10k RGP, could be gold. Sorry to say the gears will be to far gone to repair. Mainspring, screws, winding pinion, hour, and minute wheels, could go on and on - all would have to be replaced. The plates are made of brass, and jewels which are the bearings for the gears are made of sapphire or ruby. May be able to fit another movement, but would probably be hard to find. Found a 14k gold Elgin a few years ago like that and the face was busted out. Got $90 for the scrap. Don't usually sell the loot, but I did sell that one. Found it while hunting the beach with a GTA1000 Garrett.
