The big trip!

Well, it wasn't THAT big, but Brian and I had a great weekend together. We slept in the back of the Blazer, which gave me a serious case of Elf toe, I'm 6'2" and slept in a 5 1/2' space, but they should un-curl by the end of the week. My friends cousin and her husband were camping also and they had brought a golf cart up so Brian spent most of his time driving everyone around the cove. He loved that, since he can't ride a bike. We didn't find the old school house again because the woods were so overgrown we would have had to have had a bush hog to blaze a trail. We got in about 100 yards before we had to stop and turn around. The old school house had been rented out to a couple several years ago so I'm sure there will be tons of trash to sift through to find any goodies. We'll try again this fall when things die off. Brian did do some detecting and had a blast! My detector is too heavy for him and right now I can't afford a new one so I'm going to try to rig a handle off of a weed wacker so he can use both hands. We were blessed with a beuatiful weekend. The picture of the finds are all Brians, with the exception of the penny,(1960) which I found under the porch. We pulled the floor boards up to search underneath.

That's what it's all about. Brings back fond memories of camping with my Son. We camped rather primative in a tent in bad weather, but the memories are still fond. WTG Brian
