The Better Beach Detector

Wonder what would be the better beach machine for the Pacific Northwest's heavy black sand ocean beaches, the MXT or the XL PRO family? Both machines work well in heavy mineralization.
Logic implies the lower frequency machine would penetrate deeper, no?
What do you fellas think?

I would go with the XL pro. That is a popular choice for the beaches down here in CA. But if you're talking VERY mineralized (like ........ gunpowder grey/black colored) sand, then you may need a pulse unit to cut it. But then you'd have no disc. ability for nails, so it's a trade off.
