The Best

There has always been an ongoing argument about whether it was Fisher or Minelab for Saltwater hunting. But since Fisher has thrown in the towel or wetsuit as the case may be and has stopped making water machines Minelab seems to be the hands down winner..plus it's the only one you can buy new! Personally my preference has always been the Minelabs. I used to use Fisher until I bought my first Minelab. After that there was no going back for me as the Fisher just could not compete with the Minelab on the beaches that I hunt. I suspect that on some beaches the Fisher may have been better(those without any rusty iron) based on the discussions that have been had on this Forum over the years.

Ok thanks. Si you are talking about the Excaliber. Who makes the hip mount kit? If I get one I would have to have the HM version.

the original hipmount conversion was built by Bill Babbs and sold through Kellyco. They are also sold by other Detector Dealers as well now. You could go on the Dealer Classified and ask if anyone there carries them. I am sure at least one or two of them do.
