The best coil for San Diego beaches

Well I finally figured out how to start a new post-it only took me a couple of days but better late than never. I am new to this forum and am really enjoying reading the great info that is here. I am three + years into this wonderful hobby but at 55 years young just wish I had begun years ago. I bought the AT Pro when it first hit the market and had "coil" issues" I was of course disappointed and then unfortunately received poor customer service from Garret so I put the detector aside and stuck with my White's MXT Pro which has done wonders on historical sites and parks here in San Diego. I have had great success getting on both private and non private sites and finding amazing stuff. Come summer however when it gets hot I will once again resort to our beaches along with many other dectorists. I am going to try again with my AT Pro but I need to know what coil would best suit our sadly, trash filled beaches. I am a small gal with a wingspan of a sparrow so I do want to be able to cover some turf! I know there are not many options for this machine so do I go with the large DD coil or....thanks for your thoughts in advance!

Try the 8.5X11. It will cover plenty of ground and the DD types do well in the salt.HH

I rarely take off the 5x8 coil these days. It covers less ground but it's much easier on my shoulder. Very good in trash and easier to use while wading.
