Great job! My heart always skips a beat when I get a good solid VDI # and "round" good audio in the nickle zone, and that starts at about 136 or 138 or so in rare situations for certain old nickles. Even though the nickle zone doesn't really have as many gold rings as some of the other zones, I still always get that feeling that it could be a ring and dig even if I'm just old coin hunting. Something about at least standing up with a nickle, even if it's not an old nickle, makes taking a chance on those worth it to me and hoping for a gold ring even when I'm really only silver coin hunting.

Those keys are odd. They look old style but obviously they aren't. Wonder what they were used for?

Always interesting to dig those hot wheels. I've read of some guys who's goal is to dig up certain rare hotwheels that are worth a lot of money. I would guess (?) the metal doesn't rot so they'd still be worth something to a collector even if they are in rough shape?

Critter even though it was in the nickle zone 139 140 it did not sound anything close to the nickles i dug today and yesterday it had that special sound i knew as soon as i heard it that it was a good target, today i dug 3 clad nickles 144 145 GRONE !!!! those i knew where nickles i dont see 139 much if at all but ill be watching now the ring is a woman's it barley fits my pinkie and thin to but it gave off a good signal about 6 inches deep in wet sand, those keys i was told by a buddy are hand cuff keys lol . Today i lasted 1 hour the beach was like a desert no breeze 85* by 8am and humid as hell funny i couldn't wait to get off the beach and get home and jump in the pool .
Here is some information on the property's of white gold and why it sounds different from yellow gold . Jim

White gold has the same properties as yellow gold, but it has been mixed with different metals to give it a white color. Instead of the copper and silver used in yellow gold, white gold contains such metals as nickel, zinc, or even platinum. However, white gold should not be confused with platinum, which is much rarer than gold and hence more valuable.

Cool gold today still at 1600.00 a ounce +- maybe by next Spring ill have that Excal :detecting:

Nice ring!

wow nice find. I want to be inspired!! I have been beach hunting for two weeks and I only end with clad, pull tops or plated gold. :pulltab:

Yes, we found in our tests that white gold would often read much lower than you would guess by it's size or K value...Due to the metals mixed with it. You could take a yellow gold ring of similar size and K value and the white gold ring would often read much lower than it on the scale. Much lower usually than we guessed it would.
