The lady, Mrs. Morales, that lives several houses to the left of us, same side of the street, the light tan colored house with the dark trim had her car repossessed the other night. Her husband recently died of cancer and had no life insurance or savings...nothing. They did not associate much with the neighbors, kept to themselves when they were not out riding the motorcycle or having a party with their biker friends.
I was at this computer when I heard a loud truck and then lots of noise. I walked outside to see what was transpiring and saw the actual repossession taking place. The legal thief saw me watching him and smashed his hand as he hurried to complete the dastardly deed, said a few curse words too! It did not take him very long to hook that car to the back of his truck and fly out of there, almost hit John's truck as he flew down the street.
It appears that Mrs. Morales was not home when this took place...she was in Corpus Christi visiting some of their biker friends. She got back in town yesterday evening and told Julie Bell, who lives next door to us, that she knew the car was going to be repossessed. She really did not care because she said the transmission was going bad and she could not afford to have it fixed. She is going to move back to Corpus Christi and will be putting the house up for sale in the next few days.
I have never seen a car being repossessed before and was amazed at how quickly that man worked in hooking that car to his truck and getting out of there...fast! He was a big man, not someone you would want to mess with. John, another neighbor, the one that lives next door to Cindy the school teacher, told me that most repo men are big and mean tempered and you best not mess with them.
Goodness, seems like something is always happening in this neighborhood, never a dull moment. I wonder if I should tell you folks about Tyler shooting Mr. Garza's cat with the paint gun...Mr. Garza was pizzed! Kelley (Texas)
