The Back button, design or bug? and other software changes

Anyone here noticed that use of the Back button goes back from Digital display to Smart display when you have Digital Full screen selected, but not when you have normal size screen selected.
This is in advanced mode. Have not tried when in Quickstart.

It would be nice if Back worked to cycle thru the Detect screens backwards, so you could flip between Smart and Digi display without going thru Learn and Edit as well.

To be able to Save and store disc patterns in S1-6 and then be able to access them from the quick start page, would be another useful one.

I generally do not use many disc patterns, prefering IM-16 for hunting and rarely use the Digital display, but I know that other people do use Digital and patterns. There was a question the other day on another minelab forum (MSN i believe) where the chap wanted to go from Digital with a discrimination pattern loaded, to IM wide open and back again quickly with less button presses. I think the minimum is going to be about 6 to cycle thru to IM and then back to Digital. Thought of trying to do this with UserA/B settings and the back button, but have not tried or counted the steps involved yet.

Anyone any other software improvements/mods that you would like to see?

The chap was me. I would like to be able to hunt in discriminate, then if I want to check a signal, hit back to go back to the IM-16 and check the signal with no discrimination. Is this possible?

Yes, just hit the IM button twice, and then once again to go back to the disc settings you were using. Is this what you were meaning?
