Hello everyone....Normally this would be an introduction to my new home on the internet, but I decided on jabbing about my experiences and my rookie year of detecting in the snow belt of the US.
Hello everyone, my Name is MIdigger, or nicknamed the Average Coinshooter for that matter, and in the Christmas of 2007 I have received my first ever detector-A Bounty Hunter Quick Draw. I have gained quite the curiosity over this hobby as my father has been going strong since 2006. With little chances to hunt, and little digs, I had guessed this hobby wasn't for me until one day, a subscription of 'Lost treasure' had arrived in the mail. It had talked about a detector, which is now what I believe the best seeling Garrett Detector on the market. The Garrett Ace series. In the hash winter of 2008 I received the Garrett Ace 150. Let me tell you one thing...THIS THING IS A BEAST. Comparing too my frustrated last years digs, I had kept at it for the whole year, an uncovered quite the totals for a newbie. 851 Coins, $45.96 21 Wheats and a silver 1944 Mercury Dime. But the most stunning of all was to come later, as you will see in the video below.
