The ATPro Sports Pack Spring Special was just too tempting.:throw:

So I ordered one from Larry at NWI.

The 11" coil was just a little too much the first time around. I'm looking forward to using the 5x8 coil on it. I'm pretty sure it will make the machine.

Also, just a side note. I've never had any real interest in Garrett metal until the AT came out. The AT is a lot of value for the money. I've always reconized that. Even more so as I see the new trend in the ever rising prices of metal detectors. I give Kudo's to Garrett for providing high performance while keeping the price down into the range of blue collar working stiff.

I'm looking forward to your reports Mike. The AT Pro provides a lot of performance at this price point. Yesterday, I found a Mercury Dime at 8" plus, Pro Mode, max sensitivity, iron audio setting at 31, with the stock coil. Moderate iron trash in the ground. EMI at this site has handicapped other machines, but not the AT Pro. Solid repeatable high tone, accurate ID from 82 - 84 on the scale. The 5x8" coil is on my list to get.
