Headed out after work for about three hours at a park. Simply amazing how those one dollar coins bang hard on the AT Pro. I made enough today for a new pair of windshield wipers towards my new car!:bouncy: 11 loonies and a toonie plus some change. I Like it!

Geez, I get 32 coins and I may have a $1.67.......if I'm lucky. Good haul there, John! HH jim tn

Yes those coins are a nice easy ID. But I don't get as many of them as you. :look:

What settings are you boys running to knock down Canadian clad like that may I ask? Any tips? We have trouble ID'ing your coins down here...

I run 28 iron disc and I know the steel one cuz u hear the click of the iron disc and the high tone. It sounds like a penny under nails everything else comes high tone for me so I dig them naturally. I rarely chase I'd numbers around

I run mine in zero discrimination...I don't iron out anything. The newer loonies and toonies are steel so a person has to except all iron, if you don't want to miss any.

The older loonies and toonies were mostly nickle but the modern ones are steel.

In the spring of 2012, the composition switched to multi-ply brass-plated steel for the loonie.

Prior to 2012, the toonie consisted of an aluminum bronze inner core with a pure nickel outer ring;however in spring 2012 the composition of the inner core switched to aluminum bronze coated with multi-ply plated brass, and the outer ring switched to steel coated with multi-ply plated nickel.
