The AT Pro series vs. ?????

Got to be honest here. In my slack moments this time of year, been doing some looking around. ( Other machines) For my type of hunting clad / jewelry. Always looking for something to blast down deeper. Got to be real careful when checking these baby's out. Quite a few from overseas that are boasting some eye popping depth. Air tests , buried coins etc. I think the relic hunters are trying these out. Reading on, some of these are special for discrimination on iron. Course the more you discriminate you start losing depth. There are videos of finds including trash dug. Iffy signals ? I guess. Also except for machines that are made submersible , most of these machines are fair weather types. Even at big price tags. So I'm thinking to myself, my Pro can certainly get in some bad places, and if you want to go zero discrimination it has iron audio. Depth depending a lot on soil, and the operator. Wet beach wading wise, ya got the Atx power punching, the Infinium & SH Mark 11. Oh, forgot to mention the Pro being waterproof and a great fresh water , dry sand machine. Probably for the money, the best package. Now the last thing I want to do is get into a brand battle. Cause just for instance the Relic hunters, like everyone else got to have the right weapon for their hunting sites. This breeds competition and the advancement of science. Besides it creates interest & fun. In the end, if you want it all ya got to dig it all , within reason.
Remember, most of us can only have one wife at a time, but many machines.

The At pro is a great .machine, and no doubt a legend in time. The problem with over seas machines is with raw power comes unstability. You can run the At pro wide open and its stable, the aka 7272 I had become unstable at a 3rd full sense. If you don't mind chatter just get a Fisher,no disrespect intended Fisher guys.Me,I like a stable machine, and the At pro provides that.

In my opinion I don't think there is any other detectors in the same class as the AT Pro at the same price range. I'm not talking the $594 MSRP but the price you can actually buy a new one at. I've noticed you see these no names pop up and people making claims that they have taken brand X out to a place where they have hunted hard with every top of the line machine on the market and find all this stuff they missed. Then for some odd reason you see that person and with the same magical machine up for sale a few months later. I like sticking with a proven machine that has stood the test of time and still can hold its own in the market. That is the AT Pro.

I've seen you Have sold a few at pros, with over a year warrenty, and traded a at pro and a etrac for a deus?'m just trying to figure out why you would trade proven machines,by what you wrote?

I've been waiting for someone to come along using other brands including the top end metal detectors and compete with me using my AT PRO, I'm still waiting LOL

Hey two machines I'll always have on hand are the AT Pro and my E-Trac. I sell and buy a lot because there are no dealers on my area so I've sorta become the local dealer of used machines LOL.

Makes sense.lol..good luck with the sales!

Just hunted AT Pro yesterday on a sanded in beach. Big blow night before & during the day moved sand around and exposed shells, plastic, alum debris. Happened to have 5x8 on hunting zero pro, zero discrimination, about 2 bars down. 18 coins about 2hours hunting. Due to the blow, most coins where on or near top. But tickled me that on the weakest of signal, dug a penny and quarter at very deep depths. Couldn't tell for sure, dry sand. But was close to giving up on the quarter, thinking it was going to be a beer can. Last scoop figured it had to be a can. Checked hole, no signal. Dumped the scoop, ping !!! Never been fooled like that before. How deep? Conservative 10" plus estimated. Maybe a little more, my deepest.
Oh, 18 coins fifty nine cents but it was real.
