that is no bonus this year. Our store manager was a mismanager. Everyone knew he was not qualified to run our store so he was removed. In the interim we got a guy in to straighten up the mess. They called this guy 'the million dollar man'. His job was to clear out the overstock items - slash the prices to clear them out and he was authorized by headquarters to 'do what has to be done'. He did. Not sure how much he reduced prices on stuff that kept accumulating in the back warehouse area but he cleaned up the mess.
2 things resulted from that. 1) We lost a lot of money (profit) becaue items sold in most cases below the profit margin and 2) the warehouse area today well it looks just like it did when he showed up to fix things. May not be much profit next year to get a profit sharing check from.
Was informed that headquarters will give each store associate a $500 bonus (above and beyond all other bonuses) if we can be accident free for 1 year. We already had an accident so no chance of seeing this bonus either.
I was going to go out to check over an area and see what was lying on top of the ground. Got out of work to find we had gotten more snow and the ground is covered again.
Oh well guess I will crawl in bed and get some sleep - not like I'm gonna be missing much today.
Someone once said 'It isn't fair' we aren't getting a check. I explained what has 'fair' got to do with it.
Even the Constitution only guarantess 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' no guarantee to be happy just a huarantee you can pursue it.
In the case of Teri Shavio will the Constitution which I and other veterans served in the military 'to protect from enemies - foreign and domestic - will it save Teri. Only God knows - maybe only God can and we all hope it is God's will she be saved.
