here it is ladies and gentlemen the amazing one and only
"Gold Gitter Sand Scoop" it digs. it sifts. its light weight. its easy to see. it even tells the gold and valuables where to enter. and best of all its cheap. made out of a feed scoop from any local feed store. just drill some 1/2 inch holes to sift the sand out and Wholah!

Nice work. Made mine out of a plastic"Yuban" coffee container. Comes free with coffee purchase. I'd post a pic but it's super-secret proprietary info. Seriously one of my most valuable tools on certain hunts.

I've got the STEALTH version of that scoop....BLACK! Worked quite well last summer by rewarding me with 3 gold rings!

They sell these at Harbor Tool. I made mine with 5/8" holes and it works good. I wouldn't try putting a handle on it 'cuz it's going to break. $2 and five minutes of drilling saved me $29 for one from KellyCo, and they are the EXACT same thing (green in color), only without the holes already drilled. Pretty durable. The plastic will bend before it will break. I would melt the holes out instead of drilling them to give it even better strength.

awwsome scoop.....:detecting:

I could'nt see myself using one of these scoops unless I felt like bending over all day long. It would be a long day trying to dig out the 12 to 20 inch targets I dig on the beach. Perfect for sifting dry sand on the towel and beach tent line though.
