I'l:rofl:l let you know whenI get mine back

Dang it...if I lived a little closer, I would express my ACE 250 ASAP. But if I sent it now, you would have two working ACES by the time it got to you....

I always thought so - that's why after I field tested it I told Garrett I hoped they were geared up for some serious production - but they weren't and got caught with their britches down.

I've had my ace 250 for about 6months and have had a fantastic time. I've found a gold ring a nice silver ring 30some dollars inchange a few mercs a v nickle a buffnicle flying eagle quarter some assorted jewlry a few old buttons and a few other items In city digging at Evansville,IN.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something fairly simple. IE: bad battery connection,
broke battery wire, etc.. Hopefully the board itself didn't go south.
The warranty on mine will be over in about 1-2 more months..
But so far, no real problems. I had it "take off" on me one time
where it wouldn't quit chattering, but I changed the batteries and
it was back to normal.. That was over a year ago, and I don't think
it has done it again so far..
I think the 250 is a great starter unit.. I'm glad I picked it vs some
others.. Shear luck mainly , cuz I was fairly clueless about
the various machines when I first started looking around.
I first starting looking at used ones on ebay.
But then I stumbled across the 250 on ebay, and checked the
reviews, and everyone was raving about it.. So that's what I got.
I'm glad I didn't end up going for some doggy unit... lol..
For what I do, I haven't felt the need to upgrade yet.
I haven't found any high $$$ diamond rings, or anything,
but it's already paid for itself twice just by finding property
survey pins, and saving me from having to hire a surveyor.
And the total savings on those two lots might well add up to more
than two ace 250's. :)
I have the 250, all the coils, covers, and an automax pinpointer, and I
still think I've only got maybe $430 ?? or so in the whole package.
I forgot the exact total.. But that's pretty close I think, including the
shipping. Pretty versatile rig for the price.
Heck, when you get yours back, it should be all checked out, and
probably about like new again..
