The 70 Prospect can do!

Picked inbetween trash, higher and lower, rusty shit, bottlecaps, you name it. A soft whisp that at 8 inched showed this.

Possibly a variant of the 1651, not mentioned in books of King Fredrik III. The coin is 1/2 inch wide thin as 2 sheets of paper.

And I nicked it, too much trash digging to keep concentration. However the 70 does find hammered and deep too when used correctly.

That coin was made 200 years before my part of the World was even settled! I can't imagine the feeling you must get when you find something that old. Congratulations. What mode and settings were you running? HH Randy

Well done bjorn! that small of a coin at that depth......excellent. Im been trying the prospecting mode on some local beaches, it sure gets down deep and the iron mask is superb!

forgot to ask, what kind of metal is the coin made of and what coil are where you using?

Hi guys.

Thanks for the heads up,

Its a silver coin, found with the 18.75 elliptical.

When I last checked the sens it was at 25 in disc mode and 22 in prospecting. The coin did not register in disc until I had opened the hole. It was a small deep whisp inbetween some wham signaling trash, I removed a screwcap and a bottlecap to pinpoint the whisper that did not null when iron mask was at 5 in prospect.

The 70s prospect mode is worth the money for this detector by itself.

I have only barely noticable threshold in prospect and rather high in disc mode, around 14. Volume at max and tracking on.

Regards.

Nice find Bjorn!Although I am new to this hobby I find the prospect mode excellent,if an area is clear no signals in Coin Mode, I go over it again in Prospect Mode, great fun, its like having 2 detectors.
