Went to the park the other day to scrub-up some quick battery money. Set the machine to disc-out everything under 'dime', but went ahead and notched in 'foil'... alot of lady's rings will hit like foil and the junk that hit there is usually shallow junk - easy to recover.
After digging up a few dimes, quarters and copper pennies (plus a bit of foil and 'slaw) then sure enough, one of those foil hits yielded a 14k white-gold ring with what appears to be six diamonds.
This little penny-popper may have just paid for itself! (I paid $180 in LN condition for mine, John Hyde's compliments).
Keep at it boys, the good stuff is still out there!
