The 14K plain band woman's gold ring I found today had an "S" after the 14K. What does that mean?

Could it be the makers mark? I have a sterling & 14k gold band that had a cursive "N" on it. One guy at work rhought it might stand for Navajo. Couldn't find any info to verify that though.

Maybe someone else will know for sure.

Congrats regardless,

Likely the manufacturers stamp not the designer..... some of the much older ones use A to Z marks to define the year made.

LOL not sterling. It could definately be a makers mark OR a hallmark. The "letter" was used to represent the year made on gold jewlery. This was also done in the states as I have found a few examples myself. Hope this chart helps.
