................real Fisher coil....Fisher hardbody case.......................not the (BountyHunter---Pretend to be Fisher ) stuff being peddled today. Fisher was a great company.......too bad it's gone. Bounty Hunter should suck it up, and do the right thing.......and not pretend to be.... Fisher!!! Call themselves what they are and make it on their own merits.

Actually First Texas is making the new line of detectors, Bounty Hunter is one of the models they are producing. I am a die hard Tesoro fan but last summer I had the Fisher F4 and now just got a Fisher F2. They are not a Bounty Hunter no matter how you cut it. Like you say they are not the old Fisher's either. Before anyone knocks the F2 they out to try one, much better than I thought they would be and made well at a price of $199.00 Better than the Ace 250 by far. The only thing that I see the 1236 has over the F2 is the metal housing and a little heavier duty coil but in my opinion the F2 will do everything the 1236 can do at alot less $$$ I did have and use a 1236 two years ago. Steve.

Hi Steve,

Been using the 1236x2 since 2000 and also using the F2 among others and the 1236 has better iron discrimination than the F2 even using the 5" coil vs the 4" F2 coil.I love using the F2 at trashy parks but at iron infested sites with little modern trash the 1236x2 will rock and roll the F2 due to it's lower lower disc point and has less masking on targets closer to iron at lower disc. Really depends on the site as to which is better but love the quick switch tones on the F2 using the 4" coil at older trashed sites where targets aren't too deep and works great at hotrock sites.HH Bill

& all the old Fisher's, but I don't think you want to go one on one with an F75. It's my first choice now for a reason.....
Hh,
Bill

Im looking at an F-70 for next year....

And I am a die hard Old School Fisher man.

THE NEW F75 IS A GREAT MACHINE WOTHY OF BEING CALLED A FISHER NOT SURE IF YOU ARE KIDDING BUT IF YOU TRY IT YOU SHOULD REALLY LIKE IT
