well finally got to play with the 1225 today and went to a school up the road and in back there's a big yard so put the coil down off i went and about 10' and got a good faint hit and would'nt disc out and thought for sure a deeper clad coin and pulled out what looks like to be a bullett like thing short and fat and round with one end sort of flakin off it was down about 5 to 6" and was running disc level just at 5 which works really good i'll say one thing the speaker on this thing is loud! and from there found some other interesting goodies and might of dug 1 pull tab just because trying for a nickel its a sweet little unit

I have a 1212x. I have had it over 10 years. Every now and then I still use it and it still works great. I always wanted to try out a 1225 but never got a chance. I bet its a great detector.
