The 100 coin day & the 1000 coin month [Clad]

Pretty hard to do. When I first started hunting I found about a dozen places that were loaded. I had quite a few 100 coin days and maybe 3-4 1000 coin months. This was in 2003. Just around $925. in clad. I think some of you guys wrote about breaking $900 in clad last yr. I read a few yrs. ago in a Treasure mag. where a guy had a 1000 quarter month. To that I say hats off. He said he hunted from sun up to sun down every day and he was well over 62 yrs old. I got to tell ya, my hunted areas arn't loaded much anymore. Due to I think I've been getting some help. But mostly by the schools going to debit cards for school lunchs. It's crushing. Almost had a 100 coin day last yr. I ended up 3 short when I counted at home. That honked me off. Well hunting season is breaking out all over guys so who knows what it will bring this year.

The places are cleaned out with too much competition nowadays:sadwalk:

Yeah Dancer...I was one of those guys who wanted to see how much clad a guy could get last year...yesterday I went out and chcked my usual "milk run" totlots that were still covered in snow and ice just to see if there was a lot of targets that built up in the past few months....NOPE!
Its not that anyone beat me to them either, the few coins that were there were frozen in solid ice and chips. I'm sure we will accidentally find those spots that are just chuck loaded in clad, but not like before..studys are saying kids spend an average of 24 hrs per week in front of a computer indoors, and only 2 hrs per week outside.(15 minutes per day?)...so I'm thinking I will be focused on hunting gold and jewelry a lot more this year...thats gonna mean a lot of water time, (ATPro) so my clad count will not be anywhere near where it was last year.

One gold ring can make up for a 1000 coins!:hot: Most of the newcomers want the coins-not the tab signals, foil signals, even zinc pennies.:detecting:

The best day I ever had and the most coins in one day was 80 coins in a few hours at the river. If I remember right, it was 2 hours, but my memory isn't what it used to be. WTG on 100 coins in a day and 1000 in a month. I need to start keeping some sort of written record of what I find, but I'm so tired when I go dirt fishing, I tend to procrastinate. HH. I found 27 coins the other day, mostly pennies.

WTG on 100/1000. I think my best day was a 50 coin day of which 40 or so were pennies (hey, it all adds up ).

I have C.O.P.D. so i mainly do it for the exercise and can only stay at it for 2 maybe 3 hrs. My best day was I think $5 or maybe $6 dollars at a school yard The only silver I got was last year I found 2 silver quarters in a week. and have pounded the place hard since but haven't found any More. Well Y''all have a great day and Happy Hunting.
