The 10 1/2 inch DD coil

Has anyone used the 10 1/2 inch dd coil how does it compare to the standard 9 inch concentric coil. I am only interested in using it for coin hunting. I have the standard coil on my machine but find it only covers a small area which would be lucky to be 6 inches across. I was thinking about buying the bigger coil but thought I would ask some peoples opinion of it first. thanks seeya Neilo

It will take a bit of time to read them all. But if you do a search of this forum, (key word DD) you will find many posts about the success they are having with the large DD coil. HH Randy

I have one of the coils you are asking about and am by far no expert in this hobby, but I do like it a lot.
It is a little heavier than the stock coil, but you can cover a lot of ground with it.
I like to use mine in school yards and parks and places where there is much area to cover.
I used mine last weekend and found 57 quarters with it.
For me is is well worth the money!!

I have had my X-70 over 15 months so far i made lots great finds. Most better finds are deep and in sandy soils to Bad soil. The 10.5 DD 7.5 i great on depth, ground coverage, and handle all tuple soils you may hunt. It take little Patrice pinpointing from other coils. But for "Raw Depth" The X-70 with 10.5 DD coil in killer combination!!

It is a great coil and will give you more depth. You will certainly be able to cover more ground in less time with it.
