With snow on the ground and temps in the teens, I had to do the inevitable and put my detectors away for the season. I had a great season and exceeded my expectations ... found plenty of silver and other assorted coins and relics. A special thanks to Guvner for such a great website ... it really is priceless. And Bryce for his friendship and sound advice. And everyone else who offered up advice or showed us their incredible finds this year. Next year will be even better .. :super: ... Let the countdown to spring begin !!

Yeah you really killed it this year, McDave! Especially great for you being up there in the peatbogs and all...you just start researching those old log school houses over there by Grygla yet? I used to trap some beaver up that way and over by Northome, Fosston, Bagley, Gully, Gonvick. Congratulations and thanks for all your mighty posts this year, Weve got a couple of 40 degree days coming, so I'm gonna stay in it!

Really good finds Dave and a nice Silver count for the year. :clapping:
I have enjoyed your posts like many others.
I like your Christmas Tree made of Silver.

I am lucky it has been in the 40s here mostly and Saturday its going to supposedly be in the 50s so, I am sticking with it.

wish you continued success next year.

We still have a few weeks of hunting left here in IL. and even though I don't post my finds much here anymore....I'll still get a few more hunts in.

McDave,

Your silver finds are phenomenal! Best of luck in 2013! - Jim

Looks like the season has just started in Cornwall as the massive gales over the past week have dropped the sand level by up to 4 ft in some areas.
the beach I went to the other day had areas down to the rocks which I have never seen before.
As there is so much sea and so little land the temperature very rarely gets so cold we cannot detect on the beaches. the land is already water logged so I shall give that a miss for a few months.

Hey Dave,

I'm back in WI and we still haven't frozen up yet. Hope to get out another time or two and have a CTX headed my way. Probably freeze solid the day it shows up on my door step.

Perhaps I will look you up next time I back in MN.

Chris
