That pic DC posted about fishing got me wishing for spring

If you ever get a chance to fish Smith Mt. Lake, go for it. I'm from up north and never knew there were stripers in lakes. This lake is full of them, and giant smallmouth, largemouth, and catfish. My buddy has kin down there and I had the honor of travelling down south to the lake. It was insane. i've never seen so many giant bass of all kinds in my life. my friends cousin shines a light on the water and catches shad at night then fills the livewell and you have a great day anchoring at points and just casting over the side and waiting for the real to scream. The buddy we went with caught a 20lb. striper the first day and we got smallies to 6lbs. and largemouth to 7lbs. We may have some nice bass up here but down there is bliss.
