Because of the rain we had last week, the snow now has a layer of ice on it, which is a real challenge. You have to literally break the ice with your boots, remove the snow underneath, then run the coil over what's left. Being in no mood to take that challenge, I went to the woods without my digger, shovel, hammer & headphones. I did take some bird seed, camera and the Yeller-Feller. Now the birds get hungry with all the snow cover and will sit on your hand to eat if you supply some seeds. Well.....I set the Yeller-Feller in some bushes, put some seeds on the arm rest and battery holder and waited with my camera to see what would happen. Well, after some time, some chickadees showed up and had a feast.

Well, with lots of time on my hands today, I waited a while longer and was pleasantly surprised to find a little friendly fury squirrel show up and investigate this friendly feller in the bushes. I still had my camera cocked, so I fired away taking another dozen pictures.

Well, this is was a day off, so I proceeded to go to a nearby toboggan hill and try my luck, hoping to at least come come with some money.
Below is a pic of my finds. Some small change.....but a super day! What a great hobby!!!!

Great timing with the shutter!
Next time you'll have to teach that squirrel to cut through the ice for you. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
