Black Hills that is! I got a very nice 10K Black Hills Gold ring from the water yesterday. Sure was great to see that gold ring in the bottom of the scoop amongst all the rocks and shells etc...

what you find under water. I guess it's a ready made garbage can to many.
Very nice ring - Black Hills gold is fairly rare to find, steve in so az

what's that auger lookin thingy???

last Black Hills gold ring I had cost about $90 about 4 years ago - its up to over $125 for the same ring now - and it is lost. Maybe in the house we moved out of. But anyway I degress - great finds and 'what the heck is that thing?' (in my best southern drawl) - the screw type thing is that for water digging to put in a well? Some kinda food chewer and spitter outer or something?

Be interesting to know and just thought how dangerous that tip could be if someone has stepped on it. Interesting finds Mike. Congrats.

an auger that was attached to a 4 foot pvc shaft with a "T" handle at the top. The boater us it to screw into the bottom and then tie their boat off to it and they hang out for hours at the sand bar. I believe most people use them for installing docks!

seems there are boat docks all over the place that weren't there earlier in the season. So thats how they do that.

I have never seen these befor till I went to this sand bar where everyone goes to hang out, and I guess they party big time on the weekends. Most of them have these "T" handle augers that they use to tie off their boats. This one just happen to break off where the glue was put on the coupler.
