Thanksgiving Day Hunt with Something New for me. (Late Post.)

Out with the Ace 250 on Thanksgiving Day. It was really warm, the predicted storm never hit, and as I said I had batteries in it without much use that I was hoping to kill. I decided to go back to the high school I was asked to leave earlier this year. I wanted to leave on my terms. 2 1/2 hours on a beautiful morning with lots of interested dog walkers stopping to pass the time of day. A few owned detectors and I fully expected the principal to come and toss me again although he lives in a different county (that's how screwed up this school district is.) Principal lives in another district and I guess his kids get to come to our schools because he is an employee. There has been talk of having walkers banned from the property but luckily there is no public support for that nonsense.

Got the usual change and garbage including one wheatie. $8.86 in coins. The something new is the bugle mouthpiece. Showed it to a number of musicians who almost all thought it belongs to a bugle. It was really deep at about 8-10 inches and registered as a penny. Strong two way signal. I'm still trying to figure out what that triangle thing is. Registers as a half. I'd guess a piece of a key chain or bottle opener.

Loved using the Ace 250 again but still like the GTI 2500 better now. Still have at least 5-6 hours of battery life remaining and tomorrow is supposed to be nice so I am hoping to get out with the 250 again for a few hours before work.

I have found some odd stuff but that bugle mouthpiece takes the cake. Cool find.

You never know what is going to come out of the ground. Maybe someday we will reach into the ground and something will reach back and grab us. That would get the heart beating faster than finding a gold ring.:surprised:
