I just wanted to share some of the finds that I have made with the quattro, well the better stuff anway. I couldnt fit the buckets of wheats I found on the scanner, Hope the pics come out good!!! It's funny to think how many hours we spend just to find so little, yet there is never enough time HEHE!!!! "Happy hunting to all and to all a new year"

It's fun to look back and see what you have found as a whole. Curiouse to see what everyone else has aquired with the Quattro. Get us pumped up for 2009!!!!

I'm absolutuly "blown away" at the ammount of great old coins you've found!!!!!!!!!! I haven't even found a mercury dime yet, but this just proves to me that the Quatro can "do it". Thanks for sharing those great pics with us, and I hear what you said about spending so much time to to find so little, but if you look at all the "loot" you show in those pictures, I'd have to disagree with you. I think you've found a LOT, of good stuff. I know you worked your butt off for it, but it shows!!!!!!!!! I'm green with envy, but I'm also reminding myself, of what you just said, that it TAKES TIME. Marc.

Marc,

About 80% of my finds come from homesites. Once a person gets over the fear of knocking on a complete strangers door, and asking permission to dig holes in their yard, The Finds Will Come. At least thats how I look at it. I haven't had much luck at everyday parks, and schools, due to mass amounts of detectorists over the years. But to hit a "virgin" homesite really gets your heart pumping! If you go over a target with your quattro, it will definately "try" to tell you it is there!
Thanks again Mark!

Right on, Sliverdrivn!!! You've actually had the "guts" to do that knocking on thier door thing, and I would imagine the site "owner" had to be curious as heck to see what you might find too! It just makes too much sense to me, what your doing, and I need to get some "nerve" myself and try it here in my town. We've definitly got some old houses from the 1800's at least, that I'm just dying to go over with the Quatro. Thanks for sharing that. Marc Trainor.
