I'm visiting my daughter in Austin, Texas. I live in Buffalo, NY. I found the Austin Metal Detecting Club's web site and emailed the president. He invited me to their monthly meeting and I'm glad that I went. What a great group of folks. They have a nice club going for them. One of the members invited me to go do some detecting with him yesterday and I couldn't go. Wouldn't you know that he found a 1916D Mercury Dime !!!!! It's a beauty. I was able to go today and found a nice sterling saddle ring, a token and a wheatie along with some clad dimes and quarters. He and his 2 buddies found numerous V and buffalo nickels.
There just isn't any better group of folks like fellow detecting addicts. Thanks Scott, the other Scott, Josh, Jim and Ali for the invite and friendliness.

Sounds like you had a good time, can you hunt in Buffalo this time of year?
