Thanks to everyone for advising purchasing a 5.75 coil for my golden.

Worked a school tot lot for about 45 minutes this evening for a quick test of the new coil. Takes a little longer to work an area, but I can get closer to the playground equipment with out the time consuming "pause and move away" method. This coil also seems to hit on coins even harder than the stock coil. If it works in the trash I'm going to take it to tomorrow I will be a very happy camper.

BTW, I managed 1.98 today and a chucky cheese token.

Nice hunt! My next coil will be the 5.75 Hot for my Vaquero. It sounds like you like yours, Beale.

I tell you i cant stand the 8" coil it beeps to much and is hard to pinpoint in high trash eareas since i can not aford a 5.75 im trading my silver umax for a compadry plus im doing way less detecting du to high gas prices i may stop at the park when i go in to town to run erands let us know how the 5.75 works

If you really want to trade your Silver for a Compadre that is fine, but if you are wanting a small coil for your Silver I might be able to help you out. I know that it is against this forums rules to sell more than one item in 3 months & I am not really selling but would be willing to give you a more than fair price on my 4" coil. It is brand new (used it tonight for the first time), can get really close to metal pipes, etc. depth isn't quite as deep as the stock coil but is acceptable. Pinpointing is very very easy. Like I said I am not actually selling the 4" coil but wouldn't mind helping out someone like yourself. I really like the stock coil & the 4" coil doesn't cover as fast, I really wouldn't miss the coil. If you want to contact me please get ahold of me at my email address sprice@premierwireless.us Thanks! Steve.

P.S. diggernash can vouch for my honesty, I was the one that sold him the 5.75" for his Golden.

Before anyone says this is just a sneaky way for Steve (SkiWhiz) to sell something, I want to make it clear that all I am trying to do is help out a fellow hunter, I know first hand how touchy some people can get. If I am in the wrong I have no problem at all with the mods removing my post just as long as I don't have to go to the woodshed for a lashing, lol. Thanks again! Steve.

Steve, if I'm not mistaken, you can advertise your coil on the Classifieds forum. You can only list one detector in a three month period, although many do much more than that, and if you are listing more than three accessory items in an ad, you need permission, although that rule doesn't seem to be enforced either.

Go ahead and list the coil. Heck, I might even be interested in it.
