Thank you everyone for your warm greetings and blessings. I posted it last night and I was blown away by the number of responses by morning. I am a 36 year old finish carpenter, living in Northern California. I use to be the drummer for a local worship church. The Lord recently led me to this forum and I must say, that I am greatful. It is a good reminder, that God's army is everywhere. So, I will be keeping you all in my prays and of coarse, I hope to be posting some great finds very very soon. God Bless, Randy. A.K. applehead P.S. What is a forum hunt?

you are no exception Brother. I will let someone else tell you about the forum hunts.

For 3 years I have hosted the Christian Forum Hunt. It is where as many as can come to it show up for several days of detecting and fellowship. The first year there were 4 of us, then 9 and this year there were 12. This last year we had people from MI, OH, NY, AZ, LA, and Nova Scotia. We hope to have more this year. The main hunt is on Saturday, and some folks come a couple days early and stay a couple days later. We hunt, eat, fellowship, and for those that are still here we worship together on Sunday. It is usually around May or June. Hope you can make it this year!

Mike

Good to know you. As I said, I live in Vermont, been a communications technician for the state for 33 years. My wife Debbie and I have two children and two grand kids. Our son is now serving in Northern Iraq. Our daughter is an elementary music teacher in MA. Hope you can get out and make some great finds!

God Bless!

WOW!!Hey Randy,I do worship music in my church,too...As a matter of fact;Im gettin a new guitar Friday, and I am dubuting it this Sunday in my church...I do prelude music mostly, before worship...Mostly country Christian songs-They tell me they REALLY look forward to it...Joe G.here on the forum;sings, and records his own music...I heard him at the Sunday service at Mikes church after the forum hunt in May that Mike had...A GREAT SINGER-YA OUGHTA HEAR HIM!!By the way,the forum hunt is a bunch of people from the forum gettin together to do some metal detecting and socializing,at places that the host(Mike)has reserved for us...We come from all over the country and Canada;we get motel rooms where the forum hunt is(It was in Kalamazoo,Michigan this year)-Saturday night we had dinner at Old Country Buffett, ate until we couldnt move;and enjoyed each other's company...Most importantly,it was a gathering of Christian brothers and sisters that encouraged and uplifted each other the 2 days we were together...IN FACT;I bet old Mike has plans for another forum hunt next year.I hope to see you there ;because,Im making it plain to EVERYBODY:I WILL BE THERE NEXT YEAR!!!

Ma to most of the brothers and sisters on this forum. I am 71 years young and have 3 children, 9 grandchildren, & 6 great-grandchildren. I'm the old lady in the bunch and so for the only female posting...but we have others now and then. You are even younger than Mike who I call, me son, and he calls me Ma...most of the time! :D

Looking forward to your posting and especially your finds! I used to metal-detect a lot but have slowed down the last few years and this summer was so hot and dry it was too much for me to get out for I have a hard time breathing with my COPD....asthma, empysema and etc. (Lung Problems!

I live in MO but its cooler now and lots of rain lately!

God Bless!
