I purchased the etrac today after your counsel concerning the absence and superflous value of the color screen.

Though the distnction and enjoyment of color would be a welcome enhancement.

If i can buy a viso 7 inch LED color tv, battery powered for 100 dollars at costco, i wonder why not with etrac?

So..........you are saying that YOU are a fool for purchasing an E-Trac, that you thought came with a color screen:crylol: What good would a color screen be, if you couldn't see the screen in the first place:biggrin:.........NGE

i just got my etrac a couple months ago. i do not mind that the screen is in black and white. a color screen would not be of any value or help. the etrac is mainly a sound machine. maybe better speakers with high end tweeters and a subwoofer? :clapping: (just kidding)

I believe most of the viewing problems could be handled by Minelab, by returning the back ground screen color, back to green like on the Explorers. The contrasting is much easier on theeyes...NGE

Eventually the screen will be a secondary and your tone will be your primary discrimination. The sound will not tell a lie but the tid can and will. It has taken me quite a while but I am starting to understand that.

That is a top 10 tip Joe, well said.........

screen.... who needs a screen. The magic of the E-trac is in the sounds. The screen is just there to sell more units because people THINK they need them:thumbup:

Very well put,I agree, I run my sensitivity maxed most of the time.
Here,You will get very bad visuals,as it tends to lock and not change numbers.
This is a sound only option but has found me some good deep coins.
