For your tip on the relic mode and using the gain no higher than 6. I had been using my MXT in relic mode/trigger forward but no lower than 7 to 9. went down to 6 and found more clad than usual.
Thanks for your input. Went up to VA. all last week with my MXT, but they wont let you MD most places.:ranting: I don't have too much input, but enjoy reading all the msgs from others.HH to all.

My goodness, it's great hearing from you. Larry said to tell you "HI" also. If you go hunting for deeper and older coins, you can turn the gain up. Glad it worked out for you and glad to see you here. Sorry about VA. Since you didnt' get to detect, hope you still had a good time. That's what counts in life.
I wish you happy hunting and enjoy! Nancy

Guess I'll have to try the same thing once the weather clears some.. Thanks for the info, both of you... Cliff

And again I thank you . Nancy, I went to a Little league practice football field this AM for 1 1/2 hrs and found 7 Quarters and 4 dimes . Wish I knew how to get it on here to show you as I also found a young ladies pierced ear piece w/a skull and crossbones on it. Most all I found(all clad tho) was an average of 4" down as it all had a dark brown patina on it. I guess I'm the only one to go there so far. I only covered about 1/3 of it, so will go back tomorrow AM and try some more.
Your welcome Cliff60 glad we (mostly Nancy) could help out. Good luck and enjoy. HH:bouncy: Enjoy it while you can. I'll be 75 the end of this month and having to slow down a lot.(hard to get up and down now).

Ok I have a question hunting in this mode my screen shows BUTTON and it is always a quarter ? Is this how relic mode reads I know the sound is easier for me to hear thats for sure?

Butch

Yes, that's how it reads in "relic" mode. But I would bet that it's not always a quarter when it says "button". :surprised: I don't pay attention to what it says anymore, just at the tone. Good luck and HH, Nancy

Thanks for the info I will keep using this mode I love it thanks again

Butch

Cool! Hope you find many many wonderful coins and relics of interest. :) Nancy

Hi again Nancy, I went back to the sports complex again yest and started the 2nd 1/3 if this same area. Only got 2 clad qtrs, 5 dimes 1 nickle and 5 cents. Oh yes I also got a ladies watch, its still encased and you can still see the hands and all but the ear pieces that hold the band were gone. I'll keep it tho. Thanks for looking and HH to all. Oh yeah, I've still got another 1/3 of this field to go over. I'm going to try with the Super 12 tomorrow. :bouncy:

PS: Thanks Jim, I got your info on the camera. Now I just need the money:rofl: KC

Maybe they didn't use that field much and hopefully you'll find a good hoard of coins for the last part of the field. Nice find on the watch. Thanks for keeping us posted and HH, Nancy
